Top Five Miami Rappers

This year the Super Bowl comes to us from Miami. So following a tradition that began last year, I am going to give you the top five rappers from the city hosting the Super Bowl.

Last year: Atlanta

Miami is known for its beaches, culture, nightlife, and much more, not necessarily in that order. So when compiling this list I had to keep that in mind. And keeping that in mind, I was only able to come with one rapper that defines Miami. That would be Mr. 305 himself.

Pitbull came onto the scene with the album appropriately titled M.I.A.M.I. and he has been helping us have a real good time ever since. Speaking of real good time, thanks to Dr. Pepper for giving us one of the most stimulating commercials ever.

Pitbull’s birth name is Armando Perez, but he often goes by other monikers such as Mr. 305 or Mr. Worldwide. His variety in names comes at no surprise since he also carries a variety of titles. Among them are are actor, entrepreneur, philanthropist, and most notably, rapper.

Pitbull has a unique style which features Miami elements like Latin influence and debauchery. It has like led to songs that will get you dancing like these:

Cannot leave out Fireball.

And finally…

You can say that Pitbull is not a rapper, and I will have to disagree. Anyone who can go from English to Spanish and back in less than three seconds is most definitely a rapper. I hope the haters, which of them there are many, can someday realize the greatness of Pitbull. That includes my good friend, Jordan Neldare, who once told Pitbull he would “put a knot on his bald head”. Although amusing, I am still shaking my head over those comments.

Enjoy the Super Bowl. I would suggest playing some Pitbull tunes at your Super Bowl party to really get things going. You may even feel like you are in Miami.
