The 2024 NFL Draft is here and I am ready to give you my preview. To be frank, this is not as much of a comprehensive preview as it is a collection of some of my favorite players in the class. However, I will spare you from seeing another mock draft. I will also refrain from comparing players to Dragon Ball Z characters like RGIII.
The quarterbacks are going to be a big story with as many as six possibly going in the first round. USC’s Caleb Williams is expected to go first overall. After Williams, the five other quarterbacks that could go in the first round are LSU’s Jayden Daniels, North Carolina’s Drake Maye, Michigan’s JJ McCarthy, Washington’s Michael Penix, and Oregon’s Bo Nix.

Before we get any further, I want to you about Farmer Bill’s. Farmer Bill’s makes quality biltong and you can learn more at farmerbillsprovisions.com.
Daniels is my favorite quarterback in this class, but I will admit I am biased. That is because I got to see him make throws like this.
Daniels is also the most dynamic runner of the quarterbacks in this class.
Not everyone is fond of running quarterbacks, but Daniels’ ability to make defenders miss is clearly an asset.
My next favorite quarterback would have to be Penix. Big-time throws were a common occurrence for him in his two seasons in Seattle.
While quarterbacks headline this draft, the receiver position is not far behind. I have taken the liberty to rank my top ten in this draft.
Again, maybe it is my favoritism towards LSU because Malik Nabers is my #1 receiver. But how can you not love this explosiveness?
Speaking of explosiveness, it is hard to ignore Texas’s Xavier Worthy who ran the fastest 40-yard dash in NFL Combine history.
Worthy is not just a track star, either. Look at what he brings as a receiver and punt returner below.
At 172 pounds, Worthy is one of the smallest players in the draft. But lack of size should not diminish his chances of making an impact at the next level. I believe that is also the case with Virginia receiver Malik Washington and Michigan defensive back Mike Sainristil.
Washington is only 5’9″, but he is a playmaker out of the slot.
Sainristil is also 5’9″, but plays much bigger.
Versatility is a big part of Sainristil’s game with the ability to play corner, nickel, and safety. The same can be said for Iowa’s Cooper DeJean.
On top of that, DeJean is an excellent punt returner. DeJean will likely get labeled as a “gym rat” and all the other cliches that come along with his level of melanin.
Another player that will apply to is Kansas State’s Ben Sinnott. While Brock Bowers is TE1 of this class, Sinnott has put himself in position to be the next tight end taken. He brings value as both a blocker and a receiver.
Finally, I have a NFL Draft parlay to share.

I like defensive tackle Jer’Zhan Newton of Illinois, cornerback Kool-Aid McKinstry of Alabama, and Xavier Worthy all to be taken in the first round. As a parlay, we get a nice price of +215.
Enjoy the 2024 NFL Draft!
