Five People Who Need to Take a Hike: Part Three

It is time to name more people who need to take a hike. Last time, I may have gotten a little too political, so I will steer clear of that this time. In fact, I will stick to sports. Everyone I will mention is sports-related.

1. Keith Law

You may not know who Keith Law is, and your life is likely better for it. Law exists mostly to tell you how much he knows about baseball. His baseball knowledge is irrelevant because he comes off as an insufferable douche.

LSU pitcher Paul Skenes pitched against Tulane in their regional matchup. Skenes was magnificent, as he often is, throwing a complete game with 12 strikeouts. Great news, right?

Well, not to Keith Law.

It is postseason baseball, and as Herm Edwards famously said, “you play to win the game!”. If the workload, Skenes had every opportunity to make that known. However, his actions prove otherwise.

Law’s pitch count crusade would not stop with Skenes. Law also weighed in on Johns Hopkins pitcher Gabriel Romano.

Thankfully, Romano also weighed in.

Good for Romano and glad to see his arm is doing fine.

2. Baby Gronk and His Dad

You ever see someone that you instantly dislike? That describes my feelings towards “Baby Gronk”. I am not even sure how he earned this name. His real name is Madden San Miguel and it appears he has been clout chasing since the day he was born.

This is absurd stuff. When reality sets in for this kid, it is going to hit hard.

3. The New York Mets

I do not know many people are locked in for the full 162 games of the MLB schedule. However, one person who is, is Frank Fleming. Unfortunately, “Frank the Tank”, as he is affectionally known, is a fan of the New York Mets. The Mets have found themselves amidst another “June Swoon” and have lost six in a row (as of June 9). This losing streak has sent Frank into a tailspin, and for that, they should be ashamed of themselves.

4. Danny Kanell

College football personality Danny Kanell has long held an anti-SEC shtick. His fervor towards the SEC has faded in recent years as the conference has dominated the sport.

Kanell still loves Florida State, his alma mater. He made that known as their softball team played for the national championship.

Florida State was defeated by Oklahoma in consecutive games. After Oklahoma won their seventh softball national championship, Kanell ran to Twitter to troll their fans.

I do not know if this a new shtick or if Kanell is legitimately upset that the Women’s College World Series is played in Oklahoma City.

Let it go, Danny.

5. Jay Monahan

I will be honest, I needed a fifth person to throw in here and Jay Monahan was an easy target. As you are probably aware, the golf world recently got turned upside down. I am not sure what the future holds for both PGA and LIV, but the two organizations appear to be merging in some form. We do not have to get into all the details, but if there is to be a villain, it is PGA Commissioner Jay Monahan. Monahan urged loyalty from golfers, but did not return the favor.
