Michael Wilbon Needs to Stop Making Up Stories

If you don’t know who Michael Wilbon is, consider yourself lucky. Wilbon was a longtime columnist who gained popularity on ESPN’s Pardon the Interruption, not to be confused with Barstool Sports’ Pardon My Take. Now Wilbon can be seen courtside at NBA games despite looking more like a basketball than actually knowing the game.

Wilbon never misses a chance to name-drop a well-known NBA player. He is quick to remind you of all the times he has golfed with Michael Jordan, or as he calls him, “Michael Jeffrey Jordan”. Of course everyone addresses their good friends using their middle names.

The Phoenix Suns defeated the Los Angeles Clippers Wednesday night to reach the NBA Finals behind an exceptional effort by Chris Paul. And Wilbon was not going to miss that opportunity to let everyone know he and Paul are pals. Just watch for yourself.

Pardon the interruption, but yeeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight…

Upon further review, it turns out that Wilbon is co-authoring a book with Paul.

I still choose not to believe that asinine anecdote.
