After a brief hiatus, SEC Hot Seats is back. Picking games is fun, but the real fun is picking on coaches. Time to see who is on the hot seat in the SEC going into week 5.

After four weeks of football, Texas A&M sits at 2-2. Jimbo Fisher has already lost as many games at Kevin Sumlin did in his first year in College Station. This past weekend the Aggies went to Tuscaloosa and were smacked by the Tide, 45-23. The other loss was when Clemson came into Kyle Field and defeated Texas A&M.
Getting blown out in conference games and losing at home has the Jimbo Fisher off to a rough start. Fisher is now on the hot seat. Moral victories do not count in the win column.

Tennessee has become all too familiar with moral victories. That was the theme of the Butch Jones era that produced “Champions of Life”, but not SEC Champions. Saturday’s loss to Florida was one of the ugliest games in recent memory. The Volunteers were never in the game, thanks in large part to six turnovers. Jeremy Pruitt has not done anything to improve the Volunteers, who did not win any conference games a season ago. Pruitt spent his time on the sideline kicking a whiteboard, but his attempt was feeble, much like his team’s performance.
Tennessee next two games are on the road at Georgia and Auburn followed by a home game against Alabama. Pruitt is already on shaky ground in Knoxville and it is about to get worse.

Another week, another poor showing for the Arkansas Razorbacks. Arkansas fell to Auburn, 34-3, and are now 1-3 on the season. Chad Morris, who won only two games in his first season at SMU, is on his way to another losing season.
